CU Rate Review Training for Advocates
With support from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Consumers Union teamed up with Jay Angoff, former Director of the Office of Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight (HHS) and former Missouri Insurance Commissioner to offer an online rate review training for advocates on two dates. The training was cumulative, starting with basic information and concluding with how advocates can assess filings and petition to have filings made public. Suggestions for advocates in states with limited availability to review were offered alongside suggestions for advocates in states with robust rate review processes.
