At issue in this case is whether the strong privacy protections afforded by the California Information Privacy Act (SB1) are preempted by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). We urge this Court to affirm the lower court in holding that the FCRA only preempts state law with respect to affiliate sharing of "consumer reports."
