CU shares FSIS’ concern about Salmonella in poultry products. In 2011 there were two outbreaks involving ground/comminuted turkey product. The 2011 multiple-drug-resistant Salmonella Hadar outbreak associated with turkey burgers that sickened 12 people in 10 states and lead to a recall of 54,960 pounds of turkey burger.
