Even though I’m on the Do Not Call list, I’ve had “credit card services” call me a number of times and every time I say I want to opt out, they reply “please hold for my manager.” They wait a few seconds, then they pick the phone up and hang up. They are hoping you think it’s a lost call. This is not what I call opting out. Because of the frequency of the robocalls we receive, we sometimes hang up on something important like reminding us of our appointments to give blood.
