Confirm Cordray: We need a Wall Street watchdog!

We support reforms to the financial marketplace that protect consumers from unscrupulous banks and lenders.

Way back in July consumers were told that Richard Cordray — a former Ohio Attorney General who went after the big banks — would be nominated as our new financial watchdog.

Today, he’s still cooling his heels, waiting to be confirmed by the Senate. Enough is enough. Today is the day to take action.

A group of 45 Senators are still vowing to block anyone from leading the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau unless they get to politicize its independence and authority to go after wrongdoing!

It’s time to stop playing political games, and approve nominee Richard Cordray to protect hardworking Americans from the abusive tactics of banks, credit card companies and Wall Street. Tell your Senators to confirm him NOW.
