In mid-2015, End Robocalls surpassed our goal of 500,000 signatures to the EndRobocalls.org petition to the major phone companies calling on them to give us free effective tools to stop robocalls. We hit that goal fast! The huge momentum of this campaign is due to you: your signatures, your stories, and your involvement. Thank you!

Some of you may have learned about End Robocalls from our allies; terrific groups that, like us, work to counter bad products, services and practices in the marketplace. One of our esteemed supporters is Michael Bannon, Director of the County of Bucks (Pennsylvania) Department of Consumer Protection/Weights and Measures. Michael has been an amazing booster for End Robocalls, mentioning us in his media appearances, and gathering physical signatures to the petition.

Michael recently sent us this letter in which he describes why ending robocalls is critical:

Dear Sir or Madam;

This is to inform you that a growing number of Pennsylvania Residents, with an emphasis on the senior citizen age group, are being inundated with “robo” telephone calls.

At this time, we are requesting that telecommunication companies take control of their infrastructure in such a way that allows their customers, not only the right to choose to “opt out” of these invasive calls but the tools necessary to have the control placed back in their hands.

We firmly believe that consumers themselves should be given the option to put an end to these calls if they so choose.

Although it may take some time to eradicate these calls, we are suggesting your company begin with a “do not call for robo system” for its customers so the choice is theirs in receiving or opting out of robo calls.

Please assist us in helping to put an end to a frequent tool used by scammers.

Thank you Michael for your support. And thank you to all our friends, allies and supporters. Together we can End Robocalls. The fight to End Robocalls continues and we need your help! Join the movement here.
