Robert comes to this work with a strong campaigning, organizing, and communications background. Robert started his career organizing with the UFCW in Jamaica, NY and has since campaigned on issues such as municipal landfills, public lands, coal-fired power plants, utility solar, car title/payday lending, health care access, elder care, and more. Most recently, Robert ran the electoral operations for 350.org’s 501(c)(4) wing 350 Action — focusing on millennial outreach. Previously, he has run grassroots, anti-poverty and climate campaigns at Greenpeace USA, Sierra Club, Purpose.com, and the Virginia Poverty Law Center against some of the most well-known forward facing brands.
Robert received his Bachelor’s degree in poetry from Virginia Commonwealth University, his Master’s in Public Administration from James Madison University and a joint Master in Environmental Law and Policy/Juris Doctorate from Vermont Law School. Robert is from scenic Dumfries, VA and spends the majority of his time running trails with his dog Winnie.
